It is our hope that you will find in this congregation a place where you can share your life, faith, gifts, and interests. Our church is committed to reaching out to people of all ages in order to fellowship with other Christians, promote salvation, and build a stronger relationship with Christ.

• Bayside is affiliated with the Norfolk Baptist Association, the Baptist General Association of Virginia, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Bayside is a rich tapestry of long-time Virginia Beach and Norfolk residents, military personnel and their families, single adults, retirees, two and single parent families, teenagers, and children.

Our Mission:

•Bayside Baptist Church has been called to glorify God by proclaiming the good news, equipping the believer, ministering to those in need, and worshipping the Lord.

Our Purpose:

•Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Bayside seeks to be a redemptive body of Christ in the Bayside community of Virginia Beach, growing toward Christian maturity through worship, witness, education, and ministry. We strive to proclaim the gospel and apply Christian principles to our lives and relationships so that God's purposes may be achieved.

We are Called to:

•Proclaim: Bayside Baptist Church has been called to glorify God by proclaiming the good news, equipping the believer, ministering to those in need, and worshipping the Lord.

•Equip: Christians are to be equipped (Ephesians 4:12) to use their spiritual gifts (Romans 12:6-8) in order to become mature (Ephesians 4:13) in their faith, rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17), and doers of the Word (James 1:22) for the building up of the body of Christ.

•Minister: Every Christian is created for ministry (1 Peter 2:9-10), gifted for ministry (1 Peter 4:10), empowered for ministry (Matthew 28: 18-20), commanded to minister (Matthew 20: 26-28), to be prepared for ministry (Ephesians 4:11), and will be rewarded according to his or her ministry (Colossians 3: 23-24).

•Worship: Christians are to meet regularly (Hebrews 20:25) to worship (Matthew 4:10) and magnify (Psalm 34:3) the Lord through praise (Ephesians 5:19-20), celebration (Psalm 66:1-2), exaltation (Psalm 99:9), prayer (Philippians 4:6), and proclamation (Romans 10:14).
