Church Family,
To grow personally and spiritually, I am constantly reading from a growing circle of gifted Christian authors, such as J.I. Packer, Tim Keller, Jerry Bridges, David Powlison, Ed Welch and Paul Tripp, to name just a few. One book that I have read and reread is, Revitalize: Biblical Keys to Helping Your Church Come Alive Again, written by my former pastor, Andy Davis. The following prayers are mostly gleaned from this book.

Over the next 4 weeks, use these points as a guide to pray, meditate on scripture, and examine your heart.
Ask God to renew our church’s desire to live on mission with Christ. Download a PDF of the prayer guide below.

Andrew Davis’ book, An Infinite Journey,[1] gives us a road map toward spiritual maturity. He shows how Christian maturity consists of growing in Christlikeness in four major areas: knowledge, faith, character, and action (K-F-C-A).
Each week I use these four attributes to guide my prayers. I pray for myself, each member of my family, our church leaders and staff, and our church family using these prayers as a guide.
In Christ,
Pastor John
Each week we gather in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. At each gathering we use the New City Catechism’s questions and responses to confess that faith in worship. A scripture reference accompanies each statement of faith because our faith comes from the scripture.
